Announcing the new book: Jam!

There is no feeling quite like hitting “send” on the final draft of a book, and friends, I’ve just done that. I’m happy to announce that my next book, Jam!, is in the hands of its publisher. The skinny: Jam! is a book I’m writing with Jeff Carlisi, former lead guitarist of 38 Special, and his business partner Dan Lipson. It’s a business-advice book — the subtitle is “How to rock your office, crank up your career, and blow the competition off the stage,” and it’s a hell of a lot more fun than “Who Moved My Cheese?” It’s scheduled for publication in May 2009 from Jossey-Bass, an imprint of Wiley & Sons, and you’ll be hearing plenty more about it before then.

I don’t think I’m allowed to show the cover yet, even though it’s insanely cool for a business book. So I’ll content you with this shot of 38’s most famous album, Wild-Eyed Southern Boys. Enjoy.
