EARNHARDT NATION: Check out some pre-release photos
At this writing, we are exactly four weeks away from the release of EARNHARDT NATION, and I am alternating between exuberance and terror, much like I was before the birth of my kids. Difference is, you can buy this book, though I will still listen to offers for the kids.
News coming very soon about excerpts, interviews, the mini-book tour, et cetera. But for now, I want to give you, my loyal advance reader, a look at some of the photos in the book, as well as some that didn’t make the cut. To start, here’s one of my favorites:
This is what’s left of Metrolina Speedway outside Charlotte. Those are the grandstands, and in the distance you can see the curve of turns 1 and 2. This was the track where the Earnhardt legend began, where Ralph Earnhardt raced in the early ’50s, where Dale Sr. raced in the early 70s, and where the two ran together for one memorable race. That story is, yep, in the book. Here’s another:
That’s Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s helmet prior to a race in Atlanta in 2014. The man does know how to craft a striking image.
Want to see more? Sign up for my newsletter (yep, this is a marketing pitch, but it’s a free one) and you’ll get more, plus details on upcoming excerpts, signings, and the like.
I’ll send out some more photos in the coming weeks. Meantime, if you want a fancy EARNHARDT NATION advance-release postcard/bookmark, buy the book and hit me up with the receipt, and I’ll send it right out to you.
Thanks so much for reading. Not long now …
